Handwara 15 Feb 2022 Indian Army in conjunction with District Hospitals and Department of AYUSH, Kupwara organised a medical and health check up camp for local people of Ramhall and Taratpora blocks.
The camp was organized at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School wherein 01 Gynaecologist, 01 Dental Surgeon, 01 Orthopaedician, 01 Pediatrician, 01 Medical Specialist, 02 AYUSH doctors, 01 Physiotherapist and 04 Medical Officers from Indian Army worked tirelessly on 15 Feb 2023 to provide medical support to the villagers. A total of 453 Patients have registered and got themselves checked by 1430 hr, and still more villagers are coming for the medical check up. Besides routine medical checkup, special emphasis is being laid on screening people in vulnerable age groups for cold injuries and life style diseases.
Specialists advice and awareness drive on COVID, AIDS, Burn and Cold injuries, Family planning and immunisation was also imparted during the interaction. Community leaders expressed their satisfaction and happiness over the initiative taken by Indian Army and State govt health centres.
