Beneficiary students of Jai Bhim Chief Minister Pratibha Vikas Yojana will soon get stipend

SC/ST Welfare Minister holds meeting with senior officers and operators of empanelled coaching institutes to discuss further improving the scheme for students*

NEW DELHI :

Beneficiary students of Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana, run by the Delhi government, will soon get stipends. On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, all the students covered under this scheme will be given financial assistance in the form of stipend by the Delhi government. Working in this direction, all the coaching institutes will be paid the amount soon by the Ministry of SC/ST Welfare so that the benefit can be extended to the students of this scheme. 

The SC/ST Welfare Minister held a meeting with the senior officials of the department and the directors of the empanelled coaching institutes and discussed the issue of bringing better results by increasing facilities for the students included in the scheme.

It is worth mentioning that Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana was started by the Delhi Government for providing free coaching to SC/ST and economically weaker students of the state for the preparation of competitive examinations like Civil Services Examination, Engineering, Medical and Judiciary, so that students can be encouraged to prepare for these competitive exams. Under this scheme, the Delhi government also provides financial assistance in the form of stipend in addition to the coaching fees of the students.

Delhi Government’s SC/ST Welfare Minister Shri Raaj Kumar Anand on Wednesday held a meeting with senior officers of the department and directors of empanelled coaching institutes to discuss the issue of making Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana better for the students. During this, the SC/ST Welfare Minister heard the problems being faced by the operators of the coaching centres at the ground level to ensure smooth operation of the scheme and directed the officials to take appropriate steps to solve them.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, soon all the students covered under this scheme will be given financial assistance in the form of stipend by the Delhi government. Working in this direction, all the coaching institutes included in the panel will be provided with the requisite funds soon by the Ministry of SC / ST Welfare so that the beneficiary students of this scheme can get full benefit of it.
