New Delhi. Social worker Pravesh Gaur has strongly raised his voice against the alleged injustice and mismanagement being faced by elderly patients at the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) dispensary located in Paschim Vihar. Known for actively highlighting public issues, Gaur has demanded immediate action from the concerned authorities after taking serious note of the problems being faced by senior citizens and other patients. His intervention has been widely appreciated by residents of the area.

According to reports, elderly patients visiting the dispensary for treatment during the intense summer heat are forced to wait for long hours. Many of them reportedly do not even get proper seating arrangements in the waiting area, while doctors and other staff members continue their work in air-conditioned rooms inside. Expressing deep concern over the situation, Gaur said such treatment of senior citizens is unacceptable under any circumstances. He emphasized that elderly people who have contributed their entire lives to society and the nation deserve respect, dignity, and proper facilities in their later years, not neglect and inconvenience.

Pravesh Gaur also alleged that patients often have to make repeated visits to the dispensary for medicines. They are frequently told that the required medicines are out of stock. In addition, several patients claim that doctors sometimes prescribe medicines that are not available in the dispensary pharmacy and can only be purchased from private chemists outside. This situation creates an additional financial burden, especially for elderly patients and those with limited income.

The social worker stated that providing accessible and efficient healthcare services is one of the primary responsibilities of the government, and any negligence in this regard is a matter of serious concern. He pointed out that if patients visiting government dispensaries are not treated with respect and are denied basic facilities and medicines, it will directly affect public trust in the healthcare system.

Gaur has urged the Central Government Health Services department to immediately investigate the matter and ensure that better facilities are provided to elderly patients. He suggested that the waiting area must have adequate seating arrangements, proper ventilation, and essential amenities such as drinking water, fans, or air-conditioning so that patients do not suffer during extreme weather conditions.

Residents of the area have also welcomed Gaur’s initiative. Local citizens said that he has consistently raised issues affecting the common public and has remained active in protecting the dignity and rights of senior citizens. Many expressed hope that his intervention will prompt the concerned authorities to take the matter seriously and bring about necessary improvements in the functioning of the dispensary.

Pravesh Gaur, while concluding his statement, said that he will continue to raise his voice for the rights and welfare of elderly citizens and patients. He added that until the situation improves and proper arrangements are ensured, he will keep pursuing the issue with the authorities to secure justice and better healthcare services for the people.
