Vilgam Battalion in collaboration with Department of Ayush and Department of Tuberculosis, Kupwara organised a Medical Camp at Kakrosa
Panchayat Ghar as a unique gesture to alleviate hardships of local populace of Ramhall, Trathpora and Rajwar Block of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

The Camp was attended by 01 Medical Officer, 01 Gynaecologist, 01 Paediatric Doctor and 01 Physiotherapist from Department of Ayush and Lab Technician’s from Department of Tuberculosis, Kupwara wherein they worked tirelessly to provide medical support to 284 patients including males, females, children and elders. Besides routine medical checkup, special emphasis was laid on screening people for Tuberculosis, Diabetes and Anemia in vulnerable age groups for life style diseases.

Cupping Therapy was also administered by Physiotherapist to locals having musculoskeletal disorders

Besides medical consultations from the Medical Officers and check-ups, free medicines were also provided to the people.

Community leaders expressed their satisfaction and happiness over the initiative taken by Indian Army and Department of Ayush, Department of Tuberculosis, Kupwara.
