New Delhi. In the national capital, the Shri Dharmik Ramleela Committee (Regd.), Punjabi Bagh, presented a devotional and inspiring enactment of Ramleela episodes today. The program began with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Committee Chairman Satyadev Goel, President Vasudev Goel, Patron Gaurav Parashar, Chief Patron Sunder Lal Goel, Vice Chairman Naveen Jain, Chief Advisors Prem Goel and Virendra Goel, General Secretary Amit Aggarwal, Treasurer Pradeep Mittal, Senior Vice President Jatin Goel, Vice President Kamal Kishore, and General Manager Ajay Gupta.
The day’s staging brought to life historic episodes such as Lanka Dahan, the Peace Proposal, and Angad planting his foot in Ravana’s court. The scene of Hanuman setting Lanka ablaze left the audience spellbound, while Angad’s fearlessness and valor echoed across the grounds with thunderous chants of “Jai Shri Ram.” Spectators enthusiastically applauded the performers throughout the enactments.
Several distinguished guests graced the occasion, adding to the dignity of the event. Among those present were MP Bansuri Swaraj, former Union Minister Jagdish Tytler, MLA Harish Khurana, BJP leader Naveen Jindal, Delhi State In-Charge of the World Journalists Federation and senior journalist Ashok Kumar Nirbhay, High Court advocate Ashutosh Pandey, along with other eminent dignitaries. They were honored by the committee with Ram Darbar mementos, ceremonial shawls, and garlands of pearls. All guests appreciated the committee’s efforts in spreading the ideals of the Ramayana in society.
General Secretary Amit Aggarwal announced that the committee will continue to present other significant episodes of the Ramayana in the coming days. He emphasized that under the leadership of Chairman Satyadev Goel, this Ramleela has been organized consistently for the past 46 years, and it is their wish to uphold this tradition with the same devotion and enthusiasm in the future. General Manager Ajay Gupta added that the performances not only reflect religious sentiments but also convey social and cultural messages. This year, special selfie points have been created to promote awareness of environmental conservation, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and Operation Sindoor.
A large gathering of devotees illuminated the venue with an atmosphere of devotion, reverence, and cultural vibrancy. From children to the elderly, everyone was deeply engrossed in the performances. The Punjabi Bagh Ramleela once again proved to be not only a religious festival but also a powerful example of social unity and cultural awareness.
