New Delhi: A youth interaction programme was organized at Bharat Darshan Park, Punjabi Bagh, where Gandhi Darshan Samiti Chairman and former Union Minister Vijay Goel engaged with young people aged between 18 and 25 years, encouraging them to understand their role in the nation’s development and connect with India’s rich history and culture. Madipur MLA Kailash Gangwal, BJP West District President Chandrapal Bakshi, Madipur Mandal President Pradeep Yadav and Punjabi Bagh Mandal President Kamal Tanwar were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Vijay Goel said that India is rapidly emerging as a global power and that the country’s youth have the most important role to play in this transformation. He urged young people to learn about the nation’s glorious history, stay connected to their cultural roots and always place national interest above personal considerations. He emphasized that history is not merely a record of the past but a source of inspiration that guides both the present and the future.
During his address, Goel highlighted the achievements and welfare initiatives undertaken by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past 12 years. He said that India has made remarkable progress in infrastructure development, digital technology, social security, women’s empowerment, healthcare services and welfare programmes for the underprivileged. He cited initiatives such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Digital India, Startup India and Atmanirbhar Bharat as transformational programmes that have contributed significantly to the nation’s development.
Goel also spoke about the importance of democratic values, social responsibility and positive citizen participation. He said that the vision of a developed India can only be realized when young people are aware, educated and dedicated to the nation. He encouraged them to read extensively, engage in research and work closely with different sections of society to contribute meaningfully to national progress.
Madipur MLA Kailash Gangwal described the youth as the country’s greatest strength and said that channelizing their energy in the right direction is the need of the hour. BJP West District President Chandrapal Bakshi stated that the younger generation would lead the nation in the future and must therefore remain conscious of issues related to national interest. Madipur Mandal President Pradeep Yadav and Punjabi Bagh Mandal President Kamal Tanwar also motivated young people to actively participate in social and national activities. On the occasion, the birthday of Raghuveer Nagar Mandal President Gautam Jain was also celebrated.
During the programme, the participants raised questions on a variety of topics, which were answered in detail by the leaders. The interactive and inspiring session proved to be highly informative for the youth, generating meaningful discussions on history, development and nation-building.
