Yoga Enthusiasm on Display in Madipur on International Yoga Day

New Delhi:A grand yoga program was organized at Dr. Sahib Singh Verma Stadium in Madipur on the occasion of International Yoga Day, witnessing enthusiastic participation from public representatives, social workers, Resident Welfare Association (RWA) members, sports organization representatives, and local residents. Participants performed collective yoga exercises and attentively listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address delivered on the occasion.

The event was attended by Delhi BJP General Secretary Vishnu Mittal, Delhi BJP Vice President and former Mayor Sunita Kangra, Delhi Prant Sanghchalak Anil Agrawal, Madipur MLA Kailash Gangwal, Mandal President Pradeep Yadav, BJP leader Dharamveer Thagela, Dr. Rajkumar Phalwadiya, Master Mahendra Singh, RWA President Surender Pal Nijhawan, Akash Sonkar, Krishna Kumar Kashyap, Ramkumar Sisodiya, Sanjeev Sonkar, Naresh Atal, Rakesh Chauhan, Dr. Chandrasen, Mrs. Neha Pandey, Ankit Pandey, Rope Skipping Federation of India National General Secretary Nirdesh Sharma, Madipur RWA General Secretary Ashok Kumar Nirbhay, and several other distinguished citizens.

Under the guidance of yoga instructors, participants practiced pranayama, Surya Namaskar, and various yoga postures. Speakers highlighted that yoga is not merely a form of physical exercise but also an effective means of achieving a healthy lifestyle, mental balance, and inner peace. They emphasized that incorporating yoga into daily life has become essential in today’s fast-paced world.

While listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address, participants expressed pride in the global recognition of yoga and India’s rich cultural heritage. Speakers noted that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, yoga has gained worldwide acceptance, with people across many countries embracing it as an important tool for health and life management.

MLA Kailash Gangwal and other speakers urged citizens to practice yoga regularly, describing it as one of the simplest and most effective ways to build a healthy and empowered individual, family, and society. They particularly encouraged young people to adopt yoga and move towards a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle.

At the conclusion of the event, participants pledged to practice yoga daily and motivate others in their communities to do the same. Marked by enthusiasm, discipline, and active public participation, the program emerged as an inspiring example of health awareness and social unity in the area.
