New Delhi: An inspiring example of devotion and social service was witnessed in the Anand Parbat area during the holy month of Shravan, as the Brahm Koti Charitable Trust (Regd.) organized a dedicated service camp for Kanwariyas undertaking the sacred Kanwar Yatra. The seven-day Anand Parbat Shiv Camp was held from Wednesday, August 5, to Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Kamal Hotel T-Point on New Rohtak Road, Anand Parbat.
The camp was organized to welcome and serve Shiva devotees passing through the area with Kanwars. During the seven-day event, the organizers provided a range of essential facilities, including cold drinking water, a community kitchen, medical assistance and a designated resting area. The initiative was aimed at providing relief to Kanwariyas who were undertaking long and physically demanding journeys amid the summer heat.
Special arrangements for cold drinking water were made at the camp to help devotees stay hydrated during their journey. A Bhandara was also organized, providing meals and prasad to the visiting Kanwariyas. Recognizing that devotees travelling long distances may experience fatigue or health-related difficulties, the organizers also made medical assistance available at the camp. A dedicated resting facility enabled tired Kanwariyas to take a break before continuing their onward journey.
Kanwariyas arriving at the camp were warmly welcomed by the office-bearers and volunteers of the Brahm Koti Charitable Trust. Trust Chairman and President Babu Lal Gupta described the service of Shiva devotees as a form of worship of Lord Shiva himself. He said that serving Kanwariyas during the sacred journey was a matter of privilege and good fortune, and that the arrangements at the camp had been made with this spirit of devotion and service.
Trust General Secretary Sanjay Gupta played an important role in coordinating the arrangements and ensuring the smooth functioning of the camp. Treasurer Manoj Aggarwal extended active support in managing the event, while Secretary Duli Chand made significant contributions to the service activities and the welfare of the visiting devotees.
Joint Secretary Ramesh Kumar also actively participated in serving the Kanwariyas and making necessary arrangements at the camp. Organization Secretary Pt. Trilok Chand Sharma contributed to maintaining the smooth functioning of the various facilities throughout the event. All office-bearers, volunteers and supporters worked together with dedication, placing the comfort and convenience of the Shiva devotees at the forefront.
The service camp reflected the trust’s commitment to the principle of “Nar Seva, Narayan Seva”, combining religious devotion with social responsibility. Throughout the event, the Anand Parbat area remained filled with an atmosphere of faith and enthusiasm, with devotees chanting “Har Har Mahadev” as they continued their sacred journey.
The Kanwariyas expressed their gratitude to the organizers for providing food, water, medical assistance and a place to rest. For many devotees, the facilities offered at the camp provided much-needed relief during their long journey.
Babu Lal Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, Manoj Aggarwal, Duli Chand, Ramesh Kumar and Pt. Trilok Chand Sharma, along with other members, volunteers and supporters of the trust, contributed continuously to the seven-day service initiative. The successful conclusion of the camp demonstrated how religious faith can be translated into meaningful community service.
The office-bearers of the Brahm Koti Charitable Trust said that serving the devotees of Lord Shiva was both a spiritual responsibility and a blessed opportunity. They expressed their commitment to continuing similar religious, social and public-service initiatives in the future.
