DAV Muzaffarnagar Students Show Great Enthusiasm at Manali Adventure Camp

Learn Valuable Lessons in Environmental Conservation Through Adventure Activities: Poonam Panwar

Manali: During the summer vacation, High Adventure School organized a special adventure camp and trekking program in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, in which students from DAV Public School, Muzaffarnagar enthusiastically participated. The objective of the camp was to develop a spirit of adventure among students, bring them closer to nature, and strengthen their teamwork and self-confidence.

DAV Public School Principal Mrs. Poonam Panwar also accompanied the students and actively participated in various activities. She encouraged the students throughout the camp, and her enthusiastic involvement inspired them greatly. The students displayed discipline, enthusiasm, and a strong spirit of cooperation during the entire program.

Camp In-charge and adventure expert J.C. Sharma guided the students through a variety of thrilling activities, including river rafting, zip-lining, and trekking. Trekking amidst the breathtaking valleys of Manali provided students with an opportunity to connect closely with nature, while activities such as river rafting and zip-lining helped them develop courage, confidence, and risk-management skills. All activities were conducted under the supervision of trained instructors with comprehensive safety arrangements in place.

Environmental awareness was another key aspect of the camp. Students were educated about nature conservation, cleanliness, and the importance of maintaining ecological balance. They actively contributed to keeping the campsite and surrounding areas clean and conveyed the message that protecting natural resources and preserving the environment is the responsibility of every citizen, especially while participating in tourism and adventure activities.

Director of High Adventure School Rakesh Beniwal stated that the institution has been working for years to provide adventure training to children and young people while also encouraging them to develop a deeper connection with nature and a sense of responsibility toward environmental conservation. He emphasized that such programs play a vital role in the overall development of students by enhancing leadership qualities, self-reliance, decision-making abilities, and the confidence to face challenges.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Poonam Panwar said that adventure activities not only provide excitement and enjoyment but also teach valuable life lessons. She noted that students learn teamwork, discipline, patience, and respect for nature through such experiences. She further highlighted that environmental awareness must become an integral part of students’ lives so that they can contribute meaningfully to building a cleaner and greener future.

At the conclusion of the camp, students shared their experiences and described the trip as a memorable and enriching journey. They said that the combination of adventure, learning, and time spent in the lap of nature gave them fresh energy, inspiration, and a new perspective on life. Many participants expressed their desire to join similar adventure and environmental awareness programs in the future.

The camp successfully combined adventure, education, and environmental responsibility, leaving a lasting impact on the students and helping them develop skills and values that will benefit them throughout their lives.
