New Delhi : The Madipur Mandal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a grand civic felicitation ceremony on Sunday at the Community Hall in Madipur to honour Mohan Lal Gihara, who was recently appointed as the State General Secretary of the Delhi BJP. The event was held after Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra entrusted him with his new organisational responsibility. MLA Kailash Gangwal, along with a large number of party office-bearers, workers, local public representatives and prominent citizens, attended the ceremony. The programme reflected the enthusiasm, organisational strength and commitment of BJP workers.
The event was organised under the leadership of Madipur Mandal President Pradeep Yadav and Programme Convener and senior BJP leader Dharmveer Thagela. As Mohan Lal Gihara arrived at the venue, he was welcomed with the beats of drums and enthusiastic slogans. Party workers showered flower petals on him as chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “BJP Zindabad” echoed throughout the venue.
Pradeep Yadav and Dharmveer Thagela honoured Mohan Lal Gihara with a large floral garland, a ceremonial shawl and a bouquet. Representatives of various social organisations and party workers also extended their congratulations and best wishes on his new responsibility.
Addressing the gathering, Mohan Lal Gihara expressed his gratitude to Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra for placing his trust in him. He said he would fulfil his new responsibility with complete dedication, sincerity and commitment. Describing the BJP as a cadre-based organisation, he said every worker plays a significant role and every organisational position is an opportunity to serve both the party and the nation.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is achieving new milestones in development and good governance. He added that BJP workers are continuously striving to ensure that the benefits of the Central Government’s welfare schemes reach the last person in society. He urged party workers to actively spread the party’s ideology and participate wholeheartedly in social service activities.
Pradeep Yadav said that Mohan Lal Gihara has been a dedicated and hardworking party worker for many years and expressed confidence that his experience and organisational skills would further strengthen the Delhi BJP.
Dharmveer Thagela said the felicitation ceremony was not merely an honour for an individual but a recognition of the dedication and commitment of every BJP worker. He expressed confidence that Mohan Lal Gihara would provide new direction and renewed energy to the organisation in his new role.
Among those present were Mandal General Secretaries Tarachand Dotania and Sanjeev Sonkar, Nilesh Chauhan, Shobha Singh, Manju Rajput, Naresh Atal, Akash Sonkar, Shyam Rawat, Thakur Das, Rakesh Chauhan, Ajmer Singh, Kamal Yadav, former Mandal President Sunil Sharma, Ramesh Yadav, Master Mahendra Singh, Krishna Kumar Kashyap, Ram Kumar Sisodia, Naveen Kumar and several other party workers and local residents.
The programme concluded with all party workers reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the organisation at the booth level, accelerating the membership drive and expanding public outreach programmes. A vote of thanks was presented to all the guests, and the gathering resolved to work unitedly to make the party’s forthcoming political and social initiatives a success.
